A REIA (real estate investment association) is simply an organized group of investors, real estate professionals, and real estate-related vendors that all come together on a regular basis for the purpose of networking, learning, and improving their business.

Great question. We all already know that being around like-minded individuals can have a huge impact on our success, but there are even more great reasons beyond that why you should join a REIA (RTP REIA in particular!).

What makes RTP REIA different from other investment groups?
Not only does RTP REIA focuses on providing all the tools, resources, information, and support to help our members achieve all their investing goals, but we are a community of like-minded individuals that truly want to see each other succeed.

What types of real estate investing are covered at RTP REIA?
In short…everything. We cover everything from wholesaling, rehabbing, lease options, rentals and landlording, wholesaling lease options, short sales, new construction, notes, mobile homes, auctions, debt free investing, apartments and multifamily, self-storage, and even commercial investing. What is the goal of your REIA?
I can give you the long-winded version of our mission statement but honestly it all comes down to this – to get you doing deals and help you live a better life through real estate investing.
Is this a “selling” REIA where I’m going to be constantly pitched to buy something?
No. And in fact many of our members have “defected” from other groups to come here because they felt the other groups were too sales-orientated. We provide incredible content and value but without the constant hard-sell sales pitch. Will we ever have people offering their products or services to you? Sure – selling speakers can have excellent materials and offer a huge value, but it will only be occasionally and only if we think they are top-notch and can help you. That being said, we will NEVER be a “selling” REIA where we have guest national speakers come in at every meeting to sell you their course or training.
Do I need to be an experienced investor to join?
Not at all. In fact, as a brand new investor you’ll probably get the most out of membership in the REIA because it will all be new to you. But whether you’re a novice real estate investor that’s never done a deal or you are a seasoned pro with 100 flips under your belt, we have something for you and can help you achieve your investing and financial goals.
I see the tremendous value of RTP REIA. How do I join?
Is it really possible to make a living through real estate investing or does that only happen on television and infomercials?
Yes…absolutely – without question, and many people do it very successfully. BUT you have to do it right and there’s a lot to know that isn’t talked about on TV (which isn’t necessarily their fault – I mean…c’mon they have to cram 3 months of work into 30 minutes for an episode). The point is that there’s a lot of moving parts that need to be coordinated and handled correctly…which is exactly where RTP REIA can help.
Who goes to your meetings?
We have a wide variety of people at our meetings including people thinking about investing, brand-new investors, intermediate investors, experienced pros, landlords, business vendors like attorneys, real estate agents, inspectors, lenders, contractors, and everything in between.
What is Needs/Wants and Deal Sharing?
This is a really cool part of being a member of the REIA. At the beginning of every meeting we give members (sorry not guests) the opportunity to tell the group about their deals – updates, questions, or even to offer it to the group. Even better – we want to know if you need or want something too so if you need a lender, a plumber, a good title attorney…you get the chance to ask the group for help! NOTE: this is not a backdoor chance for people to pitch their business or services unless they’re an approved vendor with RTP REIA.
